Every summer we read a lot of myths about sun protection that make our hair stand on end. The worst thing is that we know that many people believe them! It is time to deny them to truly raise awareness of the great importance of caring for and protecting our skin from the sun all year round, but especially in summer.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

1. If I use a cream with SPF 50+ I don't get a tan.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It isn't true! The SPF indicates the time that the skin can be exposed to radiation while being protected, so the protection is the same in an SPF 15 as in an SPF 50, what varies is the time you can expose yourself without burning or without having to reapply. Therefore, for the most sensitive skin, we always recommend the highest SPF, in order to avoid those burns for at least 2 hours, and to avoid redness due to inattention. We will also gradually acquire a beautiful tone, since the sunscreen does not create a total screen, but it does prevent sun damage. 2. Dark skin does not need sunscreen<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

False too! And it is one of the most widespread myths about sun protection. Even if your phototype is less sensitive than paler skin, it is always mandatory to protect our skin from the sun, because just because you don't apparently "burn" or don't look red, doesn't mean that there is no cellular damage.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

3. For a little while in the sun I'm not going to burn<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Sunscreen is the best anti-aging cream, since cellular aging is enhanced in those people who subject their skin the most to solar radiation. That is why we should not estimate the time in the sun and, based on that, protect ourselves or not. It is essential to include, as the last step in our daily routine, facial sunscreen. And, of course, in summer always protect all uncovered areas.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

4. The mask protects you from the sun<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

One of the most heard myths about sun protection last summer. And of course it is totally false. In no case does the mask protect you from solar radiation, and of course it is necessary to apply sunscreen to your face. We recommend light textures such as Facial Mist<\/a> wave Mousse<\/a> to avoid the greasy feeling.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

5. Since it is cloudy, the sun does not burn<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Sorry, but no! Even if the sky is cloudy, UV radiation is filtered through the clouds and its impact on your skin is exactly as harmful to your skin. Protect yourself whenever you are exposed to the sun! Without exception.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
