But many times we don't think about the risks that this season entails. Therefore, whatever our plan is, we must be aware and follow certain guidelines so as not to harm our skin and our health.<\/p>\n

In this post we want to show advice, give you information and answer questions that have crossed our minds at some point when it comes to protecting our skin properly. And thus, saving ourselves unpleasant consequences in the long term. Mentalize yourself and protect your skin!<\/p>\n

What does sun protection factor mean?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The FP or protection factor indicates the additional time you can be exposed to the sun without risk of sunburn, this depends directly on your own skin type and the self-protection capabilities it has.<\/p>\n

We emphasize that sun protection is only effective if a sufficient amount of product is applied to the skin. Be generous!<\/p>\n

What is the factor (SFP) that best suits you?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The protection factors to use depend, as we have already said, on your skin type. If you have very fair skin, use the highest factor, which is 50+. With normal to light skin, ensure your protection using a factor between 30 and 50 SPF. You can choose lower sun factors if your skin is dark or tans very easily.<\/p>\n

Even so, this is somewhat indicative because if you spend the entire day exposed to the sun, such as on a day at the beach, the most logical thing is to use a high sunscreen regardless of your skin type. Remember: The more hours of sun, the higher the protection factor.<\/p>\n

When should you apply sunscreen?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We often overlook this point, but it is recommended to apply the sunscreen at least half an hour before sun exposure. The main reason is that these products need time to penetrate the skin and begin to fulfill their function as a protective filter.<\/p>\n

So remember to put on protection before leaving home or make a stop before reaching your destination, opt for effective protection!<\/p>\n

How much protection should you use?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The protection of a sunscreen depends directly on the amount you apply to your body. For this reason, it is recommended to be generous when applying the product to the body.<\/p>\n
